CERTIFICATION OF TAX NOTICE MAILING

I hereby certify that the 2026 tax notices for the Municipality of Gull Lake No. 139 were mailed on July 31, 2026 from the Post Office in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan.

Notice of Stray Sheep — Owner Sought

The Rural Municipality of Gull Lake No. 139 has been notified of a stray sheep that was found and restrained in the Tompkins Grazing Pasture.

Description:
Female sheep (ewe), approximately four to six years old, white in colour, with a yellow CCIA tag in the right ear numbered 503730436.

The sheep is being safely cared for by an appointed temporary poundkeeper.

Anyone who owns this sheep, or who may know its owner, is asked to contact the RM office immediately. A person claiming the sheep must provide satisfactory proof of ownership.

The sheep will only be released with authorization from the RM and after the applicable requirements and costs have been addressed. If the owner cannot be located, the sheep may be sold or otherwise dealt with in accordance with The Animal Production Act and The Animal Production Regulations.

Strychnine Now Available

The RM of Gull Lake No. 139 has received its shipment of 2% liquid strychnine for Richardson’s ground squirrel control.
Strychnine is available to eligible producers only. Before contacting the RM Office, producers must complete the required SARM online training and download or save their certificate of completion.
Please wait two business days after completing the training before contacting the RM Office, as training completion must be verified before the RM can proceed.
Producers will also be required to complete the Treatment Plan and Declaration Form, provide land locations for review, and follow all label, monitoring, record-keeping, and stewardship requirements.
Training window: May 4 to August 1, 2026
Application window: July 15 to September 1, 2026
Supplies are limited and per-producer limits may apply.

Carbon Monoxide & Smoke Alarm Requirements for Multi-Unit Residential Buildings

The Government of Saskatchewan has introduced Henry’s Law, which strengthens carbon monoxide alarm requirements for multi-unit residential buildings.

Owners of all new and existing multi-unit residential buildings must comply by November 1, 2026.

Multi-unit residential buildings may include:

• Apartments
• Condominiums
• Motels and hotels
• Boarding houses
• Rooming houses
• Dormitories
• Other buildings with multiple residential suites

Each suite must have at least one carbon monoxide alarm installed. Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms must be installed, maintained, tested, and replaced as required.

Owners are responsible for ensuring alarms are properly installed in each residential suite or unit.

Carbon monoxide is invisible, odourless, and tasteless, and can be deadly. Early detection saves lives.
