Happy Retirement John Slabik! Celebrating 14 Years of Service

The R.M. of Gull Lake No. 139 extends its heartfelt gratitude to councillor John Slabik for his 14 years of dedicated service, from 2010 to 2024. During his tenure, John contributed greatly to the community through his involvement in numerous committees. Among these, the South West Transportation Planning Committee had a special place in his heart, and he approached his work there with remarkable passion and commitment. Reeve Kramer, along with council members and staff, sincerely thank John for his invaluable contributions to the R.M of Gull Lake No. 139. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

At the Rural Municipality of Gull Lake No. 139 Regular Council Meeting on February 12, 2025, council presented John Sabik with a service award, celebrating his years of service.

 

2024 Municipal Elections UPDATE

NOTICE OF ABANDONMENT OF POLL

Whereas, Elizabeth Kramer, nominated for the office of Reeve, is the only candidate, I hereby give notice that no voting for the office will take place on November 13th, 2024.

Whereas, Grace Potter, nominated for the office of Councillor for Division 1, is the only candidate, I hereby give notice that no voting for the office will take place on November 13th, 2024.

Whereas, Craig Todd, nominated for the office of Councillor for Division 3, is the only candidate, I hereby give notice that no voting for the office will take place on November 13th, 2024.

Whereas, Thomas Bucheler, nominated for the office of Councillor for Division 5, is the only candidate, I hereby give notice that no voting for the office will take place on November 13th, 2024.

General elections for each office are held every four years.  Rural municipalities holds an election for selected divisions every two years; however, each council member holds office for a four-year term.

Monday, November 9th, 2026 elections will be held for Councillors representing even-numbered division in rural municipalities.
